The Operative Track addresses people, who have a secondary level education standard and who have gained relevant previous (professional) experience (e.g., in the equestrian sport, in the scope of a side job or as an amateur). The Executive Track addresses people, who have vocational training/ a degree or studies in a related field or three years of relevant work experience. They should additionally be of professional appearance, have a great sense of responsibility and strategic and structured thinking. The Executive Track is combinable with a full-time job.
The lecturers all stem from the network of RWTH Aachen University and the CHIO Aachen. On the one hand, they are long-standing professors or lecturers from the field of science. On the other hand, we also place particular importance on practical relevance and on a “hands-on mentality”, so you can look forward to teachers with a practical background.
The examinations of both programs are perfectly aligned with the contents of the modules and the online training. After each module you have to prove that you are competent in the acquired knowledge by completing the multiple-choice questions correctly, holding a final presentation, presenting a group project or writing a small essay. In this way, not only is your knowledge tested, but also manifold soft skills you need as a stable manager are being coached.
You will receive all information important for your participation in the online events from your respective lecturer. As a rule, the lecturers will use ‘Zoom’ for your online lessons.

Internship (Operative Track)
Students are encouraged to begin applying to companies and securing an internship placement as soon as they are admitted to the program. The internship is intended to start in July.
The program’s network of industry partners is also available to support students in finding suitable placements.
In both cases, the selected stable or company must be approved by our committee to ensure it meets our educational standards.
Once an internship is secured, participants must submit official documentation for final approval. Required documents include:
- An Internship Agreement, signed by both the participant and the employer.
- A Job Description detailing the tasks, responsibilities, and expectations of the internship role.
- A Timeline and Duration for the internship, which must include a minimum of 800 hours of practical work experience.
- These steps ensure that each internship aligns with the program’s goals and provides valuable, hands-on experience in equestrian stable management.
The internship requires a minimum commitment of 800 hours, which can be scheduled in coordination with the host company or stable to meet both parties’ needs.
Participants may also split their internship between two different companies or stables, with each placement covering part of the total hours (e.g., 400 hours at Stable A and 400 hours at Stable B).
To ensure well-rounded practical experience, at least 400 hours of the internship must be completed in a stable business.
